Locating & removing Blower Fan
Tools:
T15 & T20 Torx screwdrivers10mm Spanner
10mm Socket wrench (Not crucial)
Process:
Remove the glove box compartment.
On the left hand side of the glove box there is a metal latch which needs pushing in for the glove box to come out fully; Then, just pull the box out of its housing.

Then remove the panel to reveal the fuse box and blower fan.

You don't have to unplug this the below, but better safe than sorry.
Carefully unplug the plastic connectors. |
To get better access and to remove the Blower Fan, remove the following bolt and nut/washer (Below picture).
Use the 10mm Spanners & 10mm Socket wrench.
Remove both of these. |
Use 10mm spanner, as a socket would be trickier. |
Use a 10mm socket, although a spanner would work. |
Next you need to remove two screws. This will then let you remove a piece of plastic which sits between the Blower Fan and the Fuse Box.
The screws are slightly hidden, so use picture above to help find them. |
Now you need to unplug the Blower Fan Connector (It only goes in one way, so don't worry about remembering which way you pulled it out). The connector cable is tucked into a hook on the Blower Fan housing, just to keep the cables tidy, so take the cable out of the hook.
Be careful as once you have removed the three screws the Blower Fan will drop out of it's housing. I would recommend you screwing the back screw first.
Once the Blower Fan is free, I was able to wiggle it passed any other cables etc, but you may have to unplug or unscrew some more stuff if you are really struggling.
The picture below is looking up from the floor underneath the glove box.
Beware the Blower fan will start dropping out when you remove the screws. |

Then once you have fixed it or have a replacement one to put in, just follow the instructions backwards.
I hope this is some help to people out there. Please leave any comments if you feel I've got something wrong, could improve the process or found it useful!
Thanks a lot :)
