Changing Air Filter - Fiat Scudo
Fiat Scudo JTD 2.0 2001
Tools & Bits:
-Cross head screwdriver.-New Air Filter (This is the one I brought) https://amzn.to/3131Oxo
-(Optional) Electrical Contact Cleaner (This is the one I brought) http://bit.ly/2U2orR6
Process:
First locate the Air Filter Housing.
Unscrew the 4 screws holding the top of the housing to the bottom section.
Now the top part of the filter should just lift up and you should be able to take out the old filter.
Remove any dirt, leaves and random bits from inside of the housing.
Then it's time to get your new Air filter and place into housing.
The one I used. |
Make sure it fits snug |
Now place the top part of the housing back on and screw the screws back in, but make sure you don't nip the edges of the new air filter.
And that is that, but, Optional part...
Unclip the Air Housing connector, which is located at the back of the Air Filter housing.
Mine was a bit tricky to unclip, so stick with it and don't get frustrated and break it.
This is the Electrical Contact Cleaner I used, but there are many out there.
Then give both male and female clips a good spray and wait until the spray has completed evaporated (10 mins??)
Then just clip them back together and your good to go!!
I hope this is some help to people out there. Please leave any comments if you feel I've got something wrong, could improve the process or found it useful!
Thanks a lot :)
