Engine Oil & Filter change Fiat Scudo 2.0 JTD
Fiat Scudo JTD 2.0 2001

Tools and bits:

21mm Spanner/Socket https://amzn.to/38pyYcY (Preferably hexagon shaped)
New Sump Plug & Washer (You can use your old one if your happy, but this is the one I bought (You may need a different one) https://amzn.to/2v5yeLG
New Oil Filter (This one fitted mine https://amzn.to/3as7epY)
New Oil 5 Litres (Check Manual) (This is the one I used https://amzn.to/30GUJlN)
5 Litre container to catch old engine oil.
Gloves (Disposable recommended)

Process:

Make sure van is on a level surface and you are also easily able to get underneath it.

The Oil Filter is located slightly on the right hand side of the van, and is accessible from underneath the van. Try and first locate it by looking down into the engine bay from above.

It is recommended to first run the engine for 5 minutes to warm up the engine oil, which will help it to drain better. Then leave for 10-15 minutes before starting the job. Make a brew!

Now it's time to drain the engine oil.
My tank is located more to the right side of the vehicle and roughly inline with the wheel.
Place your 5 litre container under the sump plug and with your 21mm spanner/socket (and gloves on), loosen the nut so you can finish undoing by hand. Try not to lose the sump plug and washer in the container especially if you plan to re-use it (It's just less messy).
Leave the oil to drain until it stops pouring out of the hole.

Once you have drained the old engine oil (Don't expect all 4-5 litres to come out), it's time to change the oil filter.

Next just unscrew your Engine Oil filler cap, on top of the engine bay.

Locate the oil filter when under the van and move the old oil container beneath.
Then using your strap wrench, loosen the filter and finish off by hand.

Next it's time to unbox your new Engine Filter.

To help seal your new filter and also to make it easier to remove next time, rub a bit of your new engine oil over the rubber seal.

Then just screw the engine filter back in it's housing by hand and finish off with your strap wrench.

Next get your new or old Sump Plug and washer apply some oil on the washer and then screw them back onto the tank.

Now it's time to start adding the new Engine Oil.

To get a gauge of how much new oil your likely to need to use, I poured my old oil into a 5 litre water bottle (with a screw lid, so you can take it to your local tip to dispose of properly) and then you can see roughly how much old oil came out.

Pour in roughly 2/3 of what came out (roughly 2 litres), start your engine for 60 seconds and turn off. Leave the engine to cool for about 10-15 minutes (Brew or beer time), then take out your dip stick, wipe and place back to see where the level is and add more accordingly and repeat the process if needed.

I hope this is some help to people out there. Please leave any comments if you feel I've got something wrong, could improve the process or found it useful!

Thanks a lot :)
